AITAS (Afghanistan Integrated Tax Administration System) is a large-scale enterprise platform developed for the Afghanistan Revenue Department to modernize tax administration, taxpayer management, revenue collection, and compliance operations. The system digitized core taxation workflows including taxpayer registration, assessments, payments, audits, objections, enforcement, and document management. Built using modern open-source technologies, the platform emphasized secure access control, centralized management, operational transparency, and scalable enterprise architecture to support nationwide tax administration processes.
